Oral cancer screenings
Every time you come in for a dental exam, Dr. Beyer will check your oral tissues for red or white patches, lumps, or recurring sore areas. Screening for early changes in the oral tissues can help detect cancer at a stage when it can be more successfully treated.
Scaling & Root Planing
If we feel that you are suffering from periodontal disease (gum disease), we may recommend scaling and root planing. This is a non surgical procedure in which the dental hygienist removes plaque and tartar from below the gumline. Root surfaces are cleaned and smoothed with specially designed instruments allowing the gums to return to a healthy state.
